Interview with Dr. Davide Bianco
Why did you choose this profession? How many years of experience do you have in the field?
I started my career as a dental technician in 1989, but since 2008 I have been a full-time dentist. It was a very educational path and the dental technician experience was an excellent school.
What services does your studio offer? Is there something you specialize in?
My approach is generalist but surgical, because I love surgery very much.
In your experience, what are the most interesting or complex cases you happen to be working on?
Surely the generative gives a lot of satisfaction. The latest regeneration techniques are fascinating. Implantology is not complex in itself, the complexity depends on the situation of the oral cavity at the time of surgery. For example, when there is little bone or when there is a need to regenerate the bone. Success in implantology is directly linked to planning and its accuracy. Here we see the importance of diagnostic imaging technologies.
Are there any dental technologies that you particularly believe in or that you believe are the future of your profession?

Do you have any advice that you would like to share with your colleagues? Maybe the younger ones who are starting this profession now?
It is very important to remember that everyone has specific skills suitable for their job. Teamwork only works well when everyone realizes that each person has to do their job. For orthodontics, in fact, I use an expert orthodontist and I believe that radiology should be practices by radiologists, not by dentists, because unfortunately the dentist is not prepared with the same attention, starting from university studies. You need to have the humility to say “I don’t know this, I will ask for help from those who know more than me”.
How do you promote your business?
Word of mouth is what works in our work. Surely online visibility is important nowadays, but in our sector, relationships of trust are too important to attract customers with traditional marketing. Honesty, humility and quality work are the success factors for professionals like me.
Are there any obstacles you have encountered in growing your business?
Surely the pandemic has been a big obstacle in the last two years, but in my case it was more a matter of postponing some works, so then the recovery was fully there.
What are your interests outside of work? Can you tell us a little about what you do in your free time?
I love the mountains and I love to ski. I try to travel as much as possible and spend time in the outdoors. I also love cars, motorbikes and good food.
